Mt Ama Dablam Photos - from a distance

Mt Ama Dablam, with its unique and iconic shape, has been a good subject of both photography and painting.  Here I experimented on a variety of foreground images with it as a backdrop...
Enjoy...
The Yak bells will ring... (at a tea house along the trail)...

The long approach to C1 over hills... and more hills...

Freshly installed prayer flags from a climbing team near a tea-house in BC...
A dried-up alpine bush flower near BC

The aged prayer flags, whispering its chant to the mountain beyond...

Alpine bush flowers survive the coldest of the season...

Light up! As if offering hope to cold-numb climbers...

Mani stones near Tengboche monastery offer a mountain of prayers...

A night time on the slopes of the mountain...

A climber heading towards its slopes...

Far and away, blue pine in the foreground...

What's a mountain 'painting' without a flowing river...

Hmm an upside (unused) solar cooker and a tea-house... :)

There's something magical about seeing stupha and a giant mountain behind it...

A tent in BC, the mountain is still far and away from here...

Trekkers and yaks...
UP CLOSE!  revealing its dangers!

Everest (left-most), Nuptse-Lhotse, Ama Dablam. A glorious shot of some of the popular mountains in the Khumbu region!
